How to Buy the Vibrator That's Right for You

Courtesy of NSFWORLD

Buying a vibrator can be like buying wine. There are so many varieties and so many different tastes for all women that it can be a daunting task to figure out which ones you might like the best. There are bullet vibrators, dildo vibrators, dedicated clitoral and vaginal vibrators, and last but not least, massagers; beyond that there are a whole scope of things, like waterproof capabilities, portability, and noise production that all go into deciding what you would like. Just like a great Bordeaux or a Chianti, though, the right one for your sexual palate can really bring full potential out of your erotic appetite.

1. Know what Pleasures You Fancy

Before you embark on buying a good vibrating friend for yourself, ask yourself which orgasm you prefer the most: Clitoral, vaginal, or both? Dedicated vibrators, I've found, are much more pleasurable. I myself prefer clitoral orgasms, so I have several that are dedicated for clitoral stimulation. I also have several dildo vibrators like the Lelo Soraya that make for a pleasurable double penetration session when I'm with my hubby, but for solo play, I know I like clitoral stimulation; so that's what I buy. Knowing what makes you cum in the way you like, whether you prefer a quick orgasm or a slow one or whether you like hard or gentle cumming, can really establish what kind of vibrator would best suit your needs.

2 (a). If You Like Clitoral Stimulation

If you are somebody like me that easily has multiple orgasms quickly with a good clitoral vibrator, then you may want to find something smaller like a bullet vibrator Bswish Bnaughty or something like the Lelo Nea or Lelo Lyla 2. For couples clitoral play, we haven't found anything that matches the caliber of the JimmyJane Hello Touch. These vibrators generally are quieter and less powerful than vaginal vibrators, but they definitely get the job done ;) These vibrators also have a great deal of variety in the pulses that they emanate, making it possible to enjoy different sensations as you wish!

2 (b). If You Like Vaginal Stimulation

If you prefer vaginal stimulation, it's best to get a good dildo-vibrator that vibrates while you thrust it in and out of yourself ;) It's good to find something that's comfortable in size for you, but also something that has textures that are going to magnify that make-me-wet sensation while its vibrating. The Tantus Echo is one that's good, but we would recommend getting a separate bullet vibrator that's more powerful to satisfy your needs. The Lelo Lyla 2 also works well as a vaginal vibrator, making it very versatile. There's also the Fun Factory Stronic Eins that's like a dildo that thrusts itself in and out of your vagina! Vaginal vibrators can also be more subtle in their vibrations, letting you take it slower and enjoy your masturbation more :D

3 (a). If You Like Quick, Hard Fun

There are those days when you just want to cum really hard multiple times and get those moans out of your lungs as you clutch the sheets with endless waves of pleasure. These are best reserved for vibrators with great potency like the Hitachi Magic Wand or the Eroscillator 2. These vibrators are very intense, and despite having to be worked while being plugged in, their powerful and dedicated motors make you cum with mindless abandon -- Trust me, I know ;)

3 (b). If You Like Long, Gentle Fun

While cumming hard and multiple times is satisfying, there are times that call for a more elongated session of pleasure. When thinking about extended play and some dedicated teasing before cumming, it's best to look for subtle vibrators that you can use without being overwhelmed with sensation. Something like the Lelo Soraya is a good option. You can also try couples vibrators like We-Vibe with your lover if you want to share the experience.  It has great shaping, and can go for a long time without overwhelming you. This is also great for women that find cumming with the Hitachi is a bit too intense for them.

4. Know Your Brands

There are many great and reputable brands, but if you're unsure of what to buy, then this can help shape your search. The mid-range line of toys are made by Trinity Vibes and Doc Johnson, and you get great value for your buck with those brands. Tantus, Lelo, Fun Factory, Eroscillator, and JimmyJane are all luxury lines that cost more, but they have better materials and design as would be expected. We would recommend trying something with a similar design as the high-end lines from the mid-range lines if you're inexperienced, and seeing if you like them. If you do, then you can save up and get the high-end versions when you would like to! In many cases, retailers will also have periodic sales, where you can get great deals on the luxury brands if you would like! 5. Get Your Lover Involved

That's right folks! Get your lover involved and you can have loads more fun. My husband regularly masturbates me with vibrators and it's wonderful. It's hands free fun that gets him turned on to pound me with his ready manhood after, and nothing gets me going more than cumming a few times even before I receive him. It's a great exercise of pleasure together, and you can mix and match routines -- for example, I often give my husband a blowjob while he masturbates me, and that way, we both get pleasured and it makes foreplay a great time. It makes the mood more intimate, and the sensations are even more intensified since I'm not controlling the pleasure (and therefore anticipating it to a certain degree). Get down together and have some buzzing fun ;)
