A Survey of the Best Lubes: Make It Wet & Slippery!

One of the most important components of using toys for play (and sex in general) is good lubrication. We've sampled quite a few options over the years, and we've compiled a list that we think it the best for everything. In the list, we've recommended the best liquid and gel water based lubes and the best liquid silicone based lube -- check it out for your next sexy session :D





Things to remember:

1) Never use silicone toys with silicone based lubricant -- it'll melt the silicone or otherwise degrade it (use water based lube instead)

2) Water based lube is great for everything, but it may get dry -- use a tiny bit of water to make it slippery again if you need it!

The Best Gel Type Lube: V Lubricant (Water Based Ultra-Sensitive Gel)

This gel type lube is great for anal sex since it'll stay in place longer, and it's also good to use with toys that are smaller. This is also good for extended wear -- I've used it for hours and it's never run dry or sticky on me. It's great quality and a good deal if you purchase it from a retailer like Amazon.

The Best Liquid Type Lube: MD Science Lab Swiss Navy Lubricant (Water Based Liquid Lube)

 This liquid type lube is great for quick play with toys, both for your vagina and anus. It stays slippery surprisingly long for a liquid lube, and works sufficiently well for quickies and short toy sessions. Again, we'd advise you to purchase it on Amazon or some other retailer since it's cheaper that way. It does tend to get sticky after about 15 minutes of use, though, so you might want to keep a spritzer close by to make it slippery again.

The Best Silicone Lubricant: Uberlube Luxury Lubricant

This is the best lube for sex hands down. It's so slippery and it'll literally stay slippery for your hour-long (or longer marathon sessions) sessions of sexy fun ;) It's pricier than the other lubes available, but its quality is unbeatable in quality. If you're a beginner to anal sex (not toy use -- this can't be used with any silicone toys) -- this is a great lube to use since it'll really ease your partner entering you. My husband and I used it when he took my butt virginity and it was a charm!
